We are excited to celebrate our newest Viva Babe making a difference in the world, especially for those close to her. Megan's disabled husband nominated her and shared: "I feel that she is a gift to everyone she comes in contact with (especially me), and they are a better person for meeting her."
She and her husband have been married for over 11 years and have four wonderful kids. Megan is a natural caregiver. She loves to help and advocate for those who need to be heard. She does everything with a positive spirit and is a total joy to be around.
Currently, Megan works as a High School Registrar for over 1900 students! She loves every single student but shares that she has a very special place in her heart for special education students. Her mission is to ensure that each student has what they need to succeed in school, especially those students who require special equipment and specific accommodations. She encourages everyone never to be afraid to try something new, And they do!
A couple of examples (of many) of how she goes above and beyond: She applied for a grant to provide an iPad with adaptive learning for a disabled student. Another, she personally purchases what she can to help any student in need.
Another great thing she does, before students graduate high school, she helps share information regarding an organization she admires called Best Buddies. This organization helps anyone with intellectual or developmental disabilities line up with a "Buddy" or mentor to help in their adult journey to find a job, grow into it, and make it an experience of a lifetime. That's Amazing!
