Con Dios todo es posible
Join us in congratulating Maria, our newest Consuela Viva Babe! The surprise and joy on her face at Tivy High School, surrounded by her colleagues and family, was a sight to behold. The Viva Babe award is a testament to her positivity, kindness, and dedication, and she was deeply grateful for the recognition. A heartfelt nomination  from her granddaughter-in-love, Mireya, led to this well-deserved honor.

Maria has worked for 28 years in the Kerrville ISD, becoming a beacon of love, kindness, and joy to teachers, students, and coworkers. She arrives at Tivy High School at 5:30 a.m. every day, ready to open the school by 6:00 a.m. Her pride in being part of the school community shines through in her meticulous care for the school building, ensuring it's always in A+ condition for teaching and learning. She holds a special place in her heart for the students in special education, always taking the time to share a smile or a kind word with them as she sees them throughout the campus.

Maria's life mantra, "Con Dios todo es posible," translated to English, "With God, everything is possible," is on the bracelet she wears daily, and it serves as the guiding principle in her life. Her faith is a constant companion, and she feels God's presence as she walks the hallways. Her inspiration comes from her family, her zest for life, and her deep appreciation for uplifting others. Her 91-year-old mother is a cherished blessing and a source of joy, reminding her of the importance of love and family.

"I absolutely admire her work ethic, strength, and generosity. She inspires me as a mother, friend, and worker. Maria treats and loves all her children, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the same. You can feel the love she carries in her food and her warm hugs. I am so thankful to have her in my life; she took me in as her own." shared Mireya.

Maria has already put some travel miles on her Evadney Weekender, taking it to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, to visit her mother on Dia de las Madres "Mother's Day." The joy in her voice as she recounted her recent trip and her excitement for her new travel gear was infectious. You're ridiculously awesome, Maria! We are thrilled to celebrate you and the many adventures ahead!
