Lori is a wife, mom of twin boys, and the City Clerk in Maitland, Florida. She was nominated by her friend Viva Babe Paula. Lori spent nearly two decades in health care and left her profession to have a more stable schedule for her family. Her twin boys will be 11 this year, and they were born six days apart in different months, one with special needs - Down Syndrome.
Paula says, "Lori joined the city government in El Campo, Texas, as the City Secretary. She always takes on tasks at 100% and has never been afraid to ask why. She made improvements for the city in the office of the City Secretary and then moved to Emergency Management. Lori has always been passionate about anything she has done."
"In January of 2022, she and her husband made a hard decision to pack up and move to Florida where there would be more opportunities for one of her twin boys, Noah," Paula says. "While Noah has Down Syndrome, he has never let anything in life slow him down. Much like his mother, he is determined and a fighter."
"Lori was hired as a City Clerk of the City of Maitland, Florida, and she and her family have fully submerged in the lifestyle Florida has to offer," Paula says. "While friends and family in Texas miss them so much, it is understood that Lori and her husband Andy would go to the ends of the earth to make sure both of their boys have the best life has to offer."
