LEAH S 2
SHE IS A LOYAL CONFIDANT AND AN UNBIASED, PROFESSIONAL ADVOCATE.
Leah is an Occupational Therapist in Kearney, Nebraska, and was nominated by her longtime friend and colleague, Lisa. Lisa says, “Leah knew what her dream was from the get-go and did not let anything stand in her way of getting there. I met her in OT school, but we lost contact for some years when she graduated before me. I recently moved to where she lived, and we rekindled our friendship and colleague relationship.”
Leah’s goal was to secure a career in academia, and she’s worked hard to make this happen. Lisa says, “Over the course of her 15-year career, she has completed a lot of the leg work to get there. I am so proud that she has her dream job in academia and will be able now to provide education to the future of the profession.”
Outside her career, Leah is a mother and is “raising kind, responsible and grounded sons as well as being a farm wife, and she finds the time to be the sounding board for me, Lisa says. “She is a loyal confidant and an unbiased, professional advocate.”
With humility, Leah gives credit to her tribe. She says she surrounds herself “with uplifting, forward-thinking, positive people who choose to do good things in the world. I guess they rub off on me!”
