KERRY S

LOVE ONE ANOTHER - I JUST THINK IT’S WHAT WE ARE ALL HERE TO DO.

Juggling life as a wife and a working mom, with three kids at three different schools, Kerry recognized the struggle, yet the importance of having family meals together. At the same time, Kerry was looking for a way to generate extra funds to cover her kids’ activities, so she started cooking for neighbors. The idea blossomed and Baller Mom Meals (BMM) was born, providing fresh, fully-prepared meals and delivering them to families around Dallas, twice a week. In just over a year, BMM now has a commercial kitchen and has evolved into an amazing philanthropic company, with an awesome company culture.

BMM is thriving and giving back to her community in a big way. Kerry's nominator Ilene says, “In addition to paid orders, every week customers nominate someone who needs some ‘Mom Love’ and Kerry picks as many as she can for free deliveries. Kerry also expanded her giving to include front line medical workers. To date, her team has delivered over 1100 free meals to hospital workers.” They have also made several free deliveries to Hope’s Door Women’s Shelter. Pre-pandemic, Hope’s Door had much of their food needs met by area restaurants. When those restaurants closed in mid-March, it left Hope’s Door with a food deficit. BMM was able to help with that pipeline.

As Ilene says, it’s difficult “to put her awesomeness into words.” And, the icing on the cake is Kerry’s mantra, “Love One Another - I just think it’s what we are all here to do.”
