JANINE IS THE STRONGEST WARRIOR THAT I HAVE EVER MET. SHE IS COURAGEOUS, INSPIRATIONAL, KIND, AND THE MOST LOVING BEING I KNOW.
Janine lives in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and was nominated by her childhood friend, Karyn. Karyn says, “Six years ago, Janine lost her husband of 20 years to suicide. She and her three daughters, Jacqueline, Victoria, and Olivia, were completely devastated, and their lives were shattered. Through her grief, Janine comforted her three children and brought them to smiles again over time through love, comfort, family, making new memories, perseverance, hope, and inspiration. Janine started a Reiki business to channel her energy and bring comfort and peace to others and started a natural stone and crystal jewelry business to bring beauty and light to others. Janine wrote the book “When the Last Bell Rang” to tell her story in hopes of helping those who suffer from grief and pain.”
“Her family was finally feeling happy again after six years until this past New Year’s Eve,” Karyn says. The family celebrated together, and later, the daughters had a meal together, just ten minutes from home. “Janine’s youngest daughter Olivia, only 17 years old, never made it home. She was killed by a man with a long criminal record who publicly put his intentions out on social media,” Karyn says.
“Through the shattered pieces of her broken heart, Janine started Olivia’s Army, had a rally, and initiated a petition to change the laws in RI to result in harsher punishments for people who cause death to innocent lives, all in honor of her baby girl and to keep her bright spirit alive on Earth. Janine is the strongest warrior that I have ever met. She is courageous, inspirational, kind, and the most loving being I know. She is a fiercely loving and devoted mother and continues to fight for Olivia’s justice and the peace of her daughters, Jacqueline and Victoria, to this day. I am honored to nominate such a deserving person with the biggest and loving heart as she continues to persevere for the sake of her daughters.”
