We are thrilled to introduce our newest Viva Babe, Heather! With an enormous heart overflowing with compassion, Heather founded Reliance Center, a nonprofit women’s healthcare clinic providing cost-free services. She is also a certified life coach, helping people transform their lives with compassion and encouragement.
Five years ago, Heather started Reliance Center with a dream and a mission to provide vital healthcare and resources for women and families. From running the clinic by herself in the early days, Heather has grown Reliance Center into a thriving organization with a team of seven extraordinary women and numerous volunteers. Their services include everything from parenting classes and life coaching to pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and STD testing and treatment.
Heather’s unwavering dedication to serving others is felt in every aspect of her life. As her colleague and nominator Jaclyn shared, “Heather is a beautiful, bubbly person who loves our community fiercely. She treats our patients and clients like her own family and is an incredible leader and friend. Every aspect of her life is serving others in some way!”
Heather draws her inspiration and strength from her relationship with God and the support of her family and friends. To refill her cup, she spends time at church, enjoys precious moments with her three grandbabies, and prioritizes self-care to continue pouring love and energy into her work. Her favorite life mantra is from the Bible—Matthew 10:31—which reminds her that just as God cares for the sparrows, He cares for us, too. “God’s got me, so I don’t need to stress,” she says.
Heather shared what sparks joy in her work: "Our mission is to remind people of their worth and that they are worthy of love. It’s incredible to see people go from having no self-worth to realizing their true value.” Heather also loves to surprise people with a little “love bomb”—a small, unexpected gift to show that they matter.
