As the dedicated principal of The Rosedale School for 15 years, she has been a beacon of love and respect for students with significant disabilities, creating a nurturing environment that empowers every individual.
Thanks to Elizabeth's extraordinary leadership, the Rosedale School holds a special place in the hearts of many families. Her unwavering dedication to serving students with complex medical and behavioral needs has transformed lives and made Rosedale one of Austin's most beloved schools. From the much-anticipated prom to the inspiring Rosedale Ride, Elizabeth has fostered a sense of community and inclusivity that is genuinely remarkable.
Beyond her role as principal, Elizabeth's genuine care for the families she serves shines through in every aspect of her work. Cee, one of the Rosedale parents, nominated Elizabeth for the Viva Babe Award, highlighting her profound impact on her daughter and countless other students. Elizabeth's commitment to fostering an environment of love and respect extends far beyond the school walls, touching the lives of all who know her.
After retiring from the Austin Independent School District in June, Elizabeth continues making a difference as a licensed professional counselor, working with kids and adults. She also lends her expertise as a consultant with architectural firms and contributes to developing new school buildings. As a dedicated volunteer and board member of the Rosedale Foundation, Elizabeth embodies her life mantra of "Be Love" in all she does.
