DR. KATHLEEN S

LIVE LIKE YOU WILL DIE TOMORROW BUT LEARN LIKE YOU WILL LIVE FOREVER.
Dr. Kathleen is a Professor and Gynecologic Oncologist at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where she provides surgical care and chemotherapy to women with gynecologic malignancies, and she was nominated by her assistant, Jessica. Jessica says, “Dr. Kathleen spends countless days and nights providing care, training, information, and time to medically underserved women in the U.S., Latin America, and Africa. Her mission in life is to provide the same services worldwide regardless of your economic status.”

Dr. Kathleen leads a myriad of programs that focus on cervical cancer prevention and treatment, particularly in developing countries, and for disadvantaged women in the U.S. Jessica continues, “Her goal is to provide greater equity in care delivery across the entire cancer spectrum. Frankly, I have never met a woman with so much passion and so much drive to help make this world cancer-free. Every day she motivates me and makes me reevaluate how can I contribute to this world? How can I leave my mark and a legacy behind?“

Jessica says she’s a real-life superhero, and we concur! Dr. Kathleen uses her superpowers to heal, empower others, and knockout cancer.

Sharing her lifelong passion for learning and living in the moment, Dr. Kathleen follows the sage advice of Gandhi, “Live like you will die tomorrow but learn like you will live forever.”
