COLLEEN IS ALWAYS WILLING TO TAKE ON MORE, AND SHE WILL TELL YOU, ‘THAT EVERYTHING WILL ALWAYS WORK OUT
From one Viva Babe to another, Viva Babe Beverly nominated Colleen for her stellar career, her tenacity in hard times, and her ridiculously awesome perspective on life. In 2018, we celebrated Beverly through our It’s Not About the Bag program; She wanted to pay it forward by nominating Colleen, someone she truly admires. Beverly says, “In my 27 years of education, I have worked with many professionals. Last summer, I was given the opportunity to work for someone I had admired for so many years. Colleen is a 35-year Education veteran who has served as a teacher, principal, director, and Executive Director for Learning Support Services” in a San Antonio-area school district.
Colleen is resilient and a beacon of positivity even in the hardest situations. Beverly says, “Colleen has a huge heart, she sees the positive out of the most stressful times, and she knows exactly how to work and inspire each of us. A few years ago, Colleen suffered tragedy with the loss of her son in a car accident. Even at the most heartbreaking time in her life, she and her husband presented themselves in the most humbling, loving way to the standing room only church full of friends and family.”
She’s an empathetic leader who keeps the faith in times of uncertainty. Beverly says, “Even in times when things tend to get a little tough, Colleen is great at helping us think situations through and always providing us a possible solution. Colleen is always willing to take on more, and she will tell you, ‘that everything will always work out.’”
