BETH M
NO MATTER WHAT COMES AT HER OR AGAINST HER, SHE KEEPS MOVING FORWARD WITH JOY.
Beth is a teacher in Toano, Virginia, and was nominated by her longtime friend, Zsa Zsa. Zsa Zsa says, "We met 20 years ago when I was hosting a Christian CoffeeHouse. She walked in with a smile on her face and a sincere interest to connect. She had recently gotten divorced and had her two sons living with her. Instead of giving in to defeat and pain, she rose above her hard situation with love, prayer, and service. She went on mission trips to serve and help others instead of focusing on herself."
Beth shows up for others through their tough times. Zsa Zsa says, "She walked with me through every step of my double loss- the loss of my mother and the loss of my marriage. In the last 18 months, I don't think there's hardly been a day that's gone by where she did not reach out to me to see how I was doing, to send encouragement, and to cheer me on to victory. And she believed in me. She always points me to the positive and the Lord. And she models love, no matter what."
Beth models love, both in friendships and in her career. Zsa Zsa says, "She comes alongside people- and is often the cheerleader for the underdog or the student who is struggling. Recently, she took an ESL class and implemented her lesson work to truly help a student from another country. She noticed that people were not correcting him when he was making mistakes - and so she invested in him. He was not a 'project' to her but a person with a future. That's how Beth is in all areas of life. No matter what comes at her or against her, she keeps moving forward with JOY."
