KANADA H

KANADA IS NOT JUST A COMMUNITY LEADER, SHE IS THE WORD OF GOD. SHE NOT ONLY TEACHES US ALL OUR BIBLE STUDIES, SHE TEACHES US LIFE, THE GIFT OF GIVING, NOT JUST IN MATERIAL THINGS, BUT IN TIME, ATTENTION, PRAYER, A HUG, ANYTHING THAT MAKES ANOTHER PERSON'S DAY! SHE DOES ALL OF THIS SO FREELY, SHE NEVER THINKS ABOUT IF SHE WILL BE PAID BACK, RECOGNIZED, OR IF SOMEONE WILL NOTICE, SHE DOES IT FOR THE GREATER GOOD TO HELP PEOPLE WHO ARE DOWN AND CAN'T DO FOR THEMSELVES.
Kanada lives in Houston, Texas, and was nominated by her friend, Laura. Laura says, "Every 6-8 weeks, she organizes a visit to the assisted living, to take 40+ large bags full of groceries and cleaning supplies for the seniors. Before Covid, she would organize a Saturday for a group of us to take breakfast and spend the morning playing bingo with them. She still volunteers at the high school her children graduated from over eight years ago!"

Kanada leads with compassion, encouraging others to give generously. Laura says, "Kanada is not just a community leader, she is the word of God. This beautiful soul saves her $5 bills, and that is her pot to provide for others. Whenever she pays for something, or someone gives her money, if it's a $5 bill, it is going into her jar of $ 5's."

Kindness and compassion are at the forefront of her mind. Laura says, "Last year she had to fight for her life against Covid, and many of us tried to send a food train and a collection for her while she was down, and she asked us to please give it to someone who has less than she; that's just how special she is. No matter her situation, she is always thinking of others."

Kanda shares her positivity message, "Don't ignore Christ's calling in your life. Help women develop deep relationships with God and other women. Love God, Love People #bettertogether"
