JENNIFER H
SHE DOESN’T SUGARCOAT ANYTHING, BUT SHE OFFERS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF WHAT ADOPTION, RAISING CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, AND LOVE LOOKS LIKE.
Jennifer lives in Brunswick, Maryland, and was nominated by her gal pal, Echo. Echo says, “Jenny is the person that comes to mind when someone says selfless. She is the epitome of giving.”
Jennifer is a stay-at-home mom and part-time ASL interpreter. Echo shares the makeup of Jenny’s beautiful family. “Hailey is the youngest. A spitfire, spirited, opinionated, brave 4-year-old who reminds me so much of her mama. She is deaf and uses both sign language and vocal language. Elijah is next. He was a baby when he was adopted, along with his brother Andrew, from Ukraine. Both Elijah and Andrew have Downs Syndrome. Elijah loves going for rides in whatever vehicle you’ve got. Andrew loves Disney, sports, and friends. Faith is next in the lineup. She is fully deaf and uses ASL. She is an accomplished artist, using many mediums to express herself. Grace is the oldest. She is a published photographer and loves world travel.“
Echo says, “As you can see, Jenny’s family is different from most. But that’s not what amazes me about her. What amazes me is that she wakes up every single day with enthusiasm, kindness, and patience. She doesn’t sugarcoat anything, but she offers such a beautiful view of what adoption, raising children with special needs, and love looks like. It’s not always neat and tidy. But she shows authentic love every day.”
