Janice is the Culinary Director at a Children's Home in Fredericktown, Missouri, and she was nominated by her team of cooks, with Jennifer submitting the nomination. Jennifer says, "This woman is our boss, and she not only cares about the mission of our organization at the Children's Home; she cares about every single of her employees, not just us in our roles but our minds, our spirits, and our souls. She guides us in daily devotionals. She corrects us in love when we are wrong, not to shame us but to help us grow to be better. She teaches us wisdom and guides us to be life changers, example setters, and lovers to the unkind because she believes and KNOWS that love conquers all. She gives. She loves. She instills. She teaches. She uplifts."
Janice is positively impacting the world around her, one heart and one soul at a time. Jennifer says, "I couldn't have ever been more blessed to be given a boss who has changed my life in so many ways. How do you give back what someone has given when it isn't material items? I'm at a loss on how to give her back what she has given me and so many others that will be comparable in return. She deserves so much, and I feel like there's nothing I can do besides showing her recognition and honor."

Reflecting on her mantra, Janice shares, "Growing up in the Midwest, I spent the majority of my life attending church. There was a song in our hymnal titled 'This Is My Story.' Everyone has a story to tell, and every story is to bring encouragement to another so that they too can share their story. With that being said, 'I Am Blessed to be a Blessing.' I will continue writing my story in hopes that each chapter will be greater than the one before. 'Touching Hearts, Changing Lives' one page at a time."
