“Fight the joy burglars
Congratulations to our newest Consuela Viva Babe, Tara!

Tara, the proud owner of The Wanderer on Gilchrist, was recently surprised at work by her incredible team and her nominator, Brianna, with the Consuela Viva Babe Award.

Happy tears flowed as the room filled with joy and heartfelt emotions while Brianna’s beautiful nomination was read aloud. What made the moment even more touching was that Brianna submitted her nomination just a few months after Tara had taken ownership of the store. Together, they’ve created a ripple effect of kindness that touches everyone around them. Their shared mantra says it all: “This friendship is the standard, and we won’t settle for less.”

Tara’s story is truly inspiring. As a small-town bookstore and coffee shop owner in Wheatland, Wyoming, she has turned her shop into a cozy haven for her community. From offering a warm space for moms and kids to providing a gathering spot for Bible studies and local leaders, Tara’s bookstore is more than a store—it’s a welcoming second home for everyone.

Her nominator, Brianna, shared how Tara pours her heart into her work and people. Whether naming coffee drinks after beloved customers, supporting literacy programs and first-year teachers, or throwing a surprise birthday party for a little girl, Tara leads with kindness, creativity, and passion. She makes everyone feel seen, valued, and loved.

Tara’s secret to staying positive is choosing joy, even in challenging times. Her motto, “Fight the joy burglars,” keeps her grounded. She credits her family, friends, and team for inspiring her every day, especially her husband and three boys, who she hopes will grow up seeing the power of kindness, laughter, and community.

Tara, thank you for making every day ridiculously awesome for the Wheatland community. Your warmth, generosity, and fearless spirit inspire us all. Congratulations on being our newest Consuela Viva Babe!
