Stephanie is a ridiculously awesome assistant principal at a middle school, where she has been making a positive impact for over 13 years. Her days are filled with guiding students, collaborating with her rockstar colleagues, and helping young people see each day as a fresh start.
Her mom, Judy, nominated her for the Viva Babe Award and shared, “Stephanie is an amazing daughter, mom, and administrator. She works extended hours to make sure her students feel safe, loved, and able to learn.”
Stephanie finds joy in seeing her students have "aha" moments and loves helping them grow and develop. Outside of work, she treasures time with her family, including her husband, son, and three dogs. She also enjoys trips to the theatre and long weekends with her mom in Oklahoma.
When surprised with the Viva Babe Award, Stephanie lit up with joy. “I love the bright colors—my Rita Uptown makes me smile, and I use it every day now. It’s just happiness,” she shared.
Inspired by her parents’ encouragement and ability to work through anything, as well as her grandmother’s words, “Tomorrow is a fresh start,” Stephanie reminds her students to finish today to the best of their abilities, finish strong, and then tomorrow will be a fresh start.
