SAVANNAH

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA

SHE IS AN INCREDIBLY STRONG AND DRIVEN YOUNG WOMAN, AND SHE HAS ONE OF THE STRONGEST MINDS AND BIGGEST HEARTS I’VE EVER KNOWN
Savannah is a senior at Robert Morris University (RMU) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was nominated by her boyfriend’s mom, Janeen. Janeen says, “She is an incredibly strong and driven young woman, and she has one of the strongest minds and biggest hearts I’ve ever known.”

She’s uber involved in campus organizations, making them stronger with her leadership. At RMU, she’s the VP of the National Council of Negro Women, President of the Organization of Latin American Students, and a Thrive counselor (mental health peer counselor). In addition, she started RMU’s first multicultural sorority when she was told she didn’t fit in with another.

Savannah is also committed to raising awareness and advocating for immigrants’ rights and has been involved with non-profit organizations with this goal. She is a criminal justice major with a political science minor. She is planning to go to law school upon graduation in May, where she will continue her education and her advocacy on her way to becoming an immigration attorney.

Savannah, thank you for being a champion for others! As Dr. Seuss says, “Kid, you’ll move mountains! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So…get on your way!”
