SAMANTHA SPENDS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF HER OWN MONEY TO SAVE THESE ANIMALS; SHE HAS AN AMAZING SET UP AT HER HOME TO GET THESE DOGS SAFE, VACCINATED, FIXED, CHIPPED, TRAINED IF NEEDED, AND THEN ADOPTED.
Samantha has rescued hundreds of homeless dogs in Houston, Texas, since 2012 while holding down a full-time job as an accountant. She says, “I started rescuing dogs when I saw a dog on the euthanasia list that looked like my dog Taffi. After that, I started transporting dogs and then ultimately fostering dogs. I've always loved dogs growing up." Early on, she would foster one dog at a time, but now she fosters between 15 and 20 dogs at once.

“Samantha spends thousands of dollars of her own money to save these animals; She has an amazing set up at her home to get these dogs safe, vaccinated, fixed, chipped, trained if needed, and then adopted," Samantha’s nominator Lou says.

In advance of the epic freeze that hit Texas this past February, Samantha sought out strays to rescue to keep them safe. It was Boomer's lucky day! Boomer is a 2-year-old terrier mix who had likely never been indoors, and he was afraid to enter her home; Her viral TikTok story documented his apprehension and her sweet coaxing. https://www.tiktok.com/@streetlifetothesweetlife/video/6935134557339454725?lang=en

Samantha fosters for Lola's Lucky Day in Houston, and they transport all their pets to Wisconsin for adoption.
