Congratulations to our newest Consuela Viva Babe, Missy! Missy is a ridiculously awesome woman dedicated to caring for others, especially senior citizens. She is a Registered Nurse with a Master’s in Healthcare Policy and a passionate advocate for seniors at both the state and federal levels. Her life mantra is: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Missy believes in seeing the good in everyone and treating everyone equally, recognizing that while we all have our own paths, we’re on the same journey. She’s committed to being a voice for senior citizens, ensuring they are heard and supported when they can’t advocate for themselves.

 

At work, Missy finds joy in educating and empowering others. She loves helping people discover questions they may not know to ask and being a resource for those in need. Whether working long hours, volunteering, or advocating for better healthcare policies, her passion for helping others shines through in everything she does.

 

Missy’s journey hasn’t been easy. She put herself through nursing school while working full-time and raising her daughter. Despite the challenges, she never gave up. Even when she tragically lost her mother, mother-in-law, and father within two years, Missy continued to push forward, making her parents proud every step of the way.

 

Her close friend Angie, who nominated her, has known Missy since the fourth grade and describes her as “compassionate, driven, and always helping others.” Angie recalls a moment when Missy jumped into action to save a man’s life during a community dinner—just one of the many examples of how she’s always ready to lend a hand.

 

When she’s not working, Missy’s joy comes from spending time with her family, going on Jeep adventures, and getting muddy on off-road trips! Her strength, compassion, and resilience inspire everyone around her.
