Michelle was taken by surprise during a planning committee meeting when cheers and shakers erupted, leaving her speechless. “That was a heart moment,” she shared. “To know someone nominated me was such an honor. It encourages me to keep being myself and doing what I love.”
As the Executive Director of the Texas Pioneer Foundation, Michelle has dedicated her career to strengthening public education and supporting innovative programs across Texas. One of her ridiculously awesome achievements is helping establish the Texas Education Foundation Network (TEFN) Conference, which annually brings together over 250 foundation leaders from across the state to learn, share, connect, and grow.
Her nominator, Viva Babe Linda, describes her best: “Michelle’s leadership is nothing short of inspiring. Her warmth, humility, and grace set the tone for an event that doesn’t just inform, it uplifts.”
Michelle spreads positivity wherever she goes. She says, “I’d rather put my energy into what matters and do it positively.” Her mantra, “You got this,” has helped her face challenges and continues to guide her today.
Whether it’s the impact she helps make through grants, the joy she finds with her family, or the laughter she shares with lifelong friends, Michelle shines a light that inspires others to keep moving forward.
