We had the absolute joy of surprising Marcie with the Viva Babe Award at her company's holiday party, and it was a moment filled with love and celebration. Marcie's friend and nominator, Elizabeth, described her as a true trailblazer who breaks barriers in male-dominated spaces with grace, resilience, and a heart full of compassion.

As CEO of Comal Iron & Metals, Marcie is committed to uplifting her team, many of whom work tirelessly in challenging conditions in the metal recycling industry. Her passion for advocacy shines as she lobbies on behalf of small businesses, fighting for their success. Inspired by her late father, a hardworking, blue-collar worker, Marcie channels her faith and determination to ensure her employees thrive.

Marcie's personal life is equally inspiring. She cherishes her faith, her husband, their children, and her circle of girlfriends, who bring laughter and new adventures into her life. Whether it's a date night with her husband, family movie night, a day out with friends, or quality time with her 90-pound St. Bernardoodle, who accompanies her to work, Marcie's joy is rooted in love and connection.

Marcie shared that her positivity comes from knowing she's loved. A firm believer in paying it forward, she leans on her faith and finds comfort in her favorite mantra: "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). This mantra reminds her to trust the process and find strength in stillness. 

Marcie's impact extends beyond her business. Elizabeth shared that Marcie dedicates her time to vital causes, from supporting her local school district to championing Pink Warrior Advocates, a nonprofit that helps individuals navigate breast cancer diagnoses. Her dedication to community, family, and faith makes her a beacon of hope and empowerment.
