LAURA R

DESPITE ALL OF THE AFOREMENTIONED HARDSHIPS, SHE CONTINUES TO STAY POSITIVE, SHE IS ALWAYS SMILING, AND SHE ALWAYS TRIES TO FIND THE GOOD IN PEOPLE OR SITUATIONS.
Laura lives in Austin, Texas, and was nominated by her friend, Jennifer. Jennifer says, “Laura has always been a positive and fun person to be around, despite the hardships she has been and is going through the last 18 months. Laura lost her husband at a very early age and at the very beginning of their marriage on Christmas Day about 7 years ago. Despite losing the love of her life, Laura has continued to move forward by being involved in her local Junior League program, she founded a beauty & bridal business that's exploded, and she's also busting her butt in a male-dominated industry to break through those barriers (in her family business) all while her dad has been in and out of the hospital.”

2020 was especially challenging with Laura contracting COVID-19 and the devastating loss of her business partner and dear friend to a rare and sudden bacterial infection. Jennifer says, “Despite ALL of the aforementioned hardships, she continues to stay positive, she is always smiling, and she always tries to find the good in people or situations. She is an awesome human being, which is why I wanted to nominate her. She just really needs a win, AND she loves your bags! If you did choose her, I think it would be a fun surprise for her.”

Laura, we are honored to salute you as one of our treasured Viva Babes. We celebrate you for triumphing over adversities and living life with optimism, hope, and joy!
