“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love

Say hello to our newest—and one of our youngest—Viva Babes, Kamryn!

At just 11 years old, Kamryn has shown that big hearts come in small
packages. Last Friday, she walked into Kerrville Pets Alive thinking
she was just dropping off a donation check. But to her surprise, the
room was filled with cheers and shakers spinning—because she was being celebrated with the Consuela Viva Babe Award! It was a joyful moment filled with love, excitement, and a few happy tears.

Kamryn's journey started after hearing about the heartbreaking loss at Camp Mystic. While she was also attending a camp in Kerrville, her “home away from home,” she felt inspired to make a difference. What began as a goal to raise $500 by baking chocolate chip cookies quickly turned into something bigger. Kamryn raised $7,000 to support Kerrville Pets Alive and Texas A&M’s Veterinary Emergency Team by baking over 1,400 cookies.

Kamryn credits her mom and late grandpa for inspiring her love of
animals and giving back. She loves visiting animal shelters and
volunteering at senior centers.

When asked what keeps her going, Kamryn shared her favorite quote:
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with
great love.” — Mother Teresa

We’re in awe of Kamryn’s creativity, generosity, and determination.
Her jovial and kind spirit is precisely what the Viva Babe Award is
all about.
