Congratulations to our newest Consuela Viva Babe, K. LaFleur-Anders! K received the surprise of a lifetime at the Uplevel Her event, where she had just been awarded the Austin Women’s Small Business Grant by Austin Women's Magazine in front of 500 incredible women. As the celebration song began to play, Melinda Garvey whispered, “Wait, there’s more…” Suddenly, the room erupted in joy as K was presented with the Consuela Viva Babe Award! The energy was electric as shakers rattled, and women cheered while K took the stage, filled with surprise, gratitude, and appreciation.

K's passion for uplifting others shines through in everything she does. Inspired by her grandfather’s wisdom, her mother’s faith, and her husband’s drive, K is fueled by the love and support of her family. With a heart dedicated to community and creativity, she finds her spark of joy in helping others push beyond their limits and develop workshops and projects that inspire them. In her personal life, K loves to recharge by spending time with her family, hiking, and enjoying Louisiana’s beautiful landscapes—her happy place.

One of K’s favorite quotes, “Everything happens as it’s supposed to,” is a mantra that keeps her grounded. It allows her to let go, trust the process, and believe that even closed doors can lead to better opportunities ahead.

K’s journey has also led her to rediscover her love for writing. As the founder of Chestnut Publishing LLC and Coffee Milk Media, she channels her passion into helping others bring their ideas to life through writing, storytelling, workshops, or creative projects. Her biggest joy is watching her clients step outside the box and discover new possibilities. We’re thrilled to honor K for her leadership, creativity, and relentless positivity!
