Congratulations to our newest Viva Babe, Jill! We're thrilled to celebrate the incredible Jill, who was surprised during the Anthem Giving Circle (AGC) board meeting. As she kicked off the meeting, the song "Celebration" began to play, and in came her kids, husband, dad, bonus mom, and fellow food bank volunteers. Rhonda then read her heartfelt nomination and presented Jill with the Viva Babe Award.

Philanthropy and community service bring Jill immense joy, especially through the people she meets. She is deeply moved by those who find the strength and courage to seek assistance, and she does everything she can to show love and compassion and celebrate their triumphs.

Jill's faith is a cornerstone of her life, and she attributes her ability to extend a helping hand to God's grace. Her empathy, a trait inherited from her mother, Julie, who bravely battled cancer in her 50s, drives her philanthropic work. Her mother’s battle was a profound learning experience, shaping Jill into the compassionate person she is today.

In her heartfelt nomination, Rhonda shared, "Jill, a dedicated wife, and mother of two, has been a beacon of hope for those in need. Her tireless efforts at the Foothills Food Bank as a board member and a direct client advocate have significantly impacted many lives. As the chair of the AGC, she has been instrumental in raising and distributing approximately $50,000 annually to local families, a testament to her unwavering commitment to our community."

Her favorite quote is "Seize the day!" and she truly exemplifies that by volunteering many hours at the food bank monthly, co-chairing Anthem Giving Circle's annual "Purses for a Purpose" fundraiser for five years (impressively raising $45,000 last year), and cheering her kids on at their games.
