During a team meeting at Foundation Communities, the song "Celebration" by Kool & the Gang suddenly started playing. To Jackie's surprise, her husband Carlos and her amazing teammates paraded into the room with signs, shakers, and lots of cheer! Nikki, her colleague and friend, shared the heartfelt nomination honoring Jackie and presented her with the Viva Babe Award.
"Jackie is one of the best mentors I have ever known. Her compassion for this community shines through in every aspect of her life. She inspires those around her to strive for excellence and to give back selflessly," said Nikki.
Jackie has dedicated 19 years to Foundation Communities. Thanks to her leadership, 12 volunteer programs were built. Today, more than 3,000 volunteers give their time each year to support programs in health, education, housing, and financial wellness.
When asked about her inspiration, Jackie shared that her mother's light and generosity continue to guide her every day. And her favorite quote is, "Lord, make me a channel of your peace," a reminder she leans on to stay grounded during challenging times. What brings Jackie the most joy is seeing her work truly make a difference, watching her team grow, and hearing her family's laughter.
