Heather H.
Congratulations to our newest Consuela Viva Babe, Heather! After a long, challenging day, her husband Cody had a surprise waiting and asked her to stop by their home before heading out for a well-deserved margarita. With her eyes closed, Heather opened them to see the Viva Babe certificate and gifts before her. “My breath was taken away,” she said, as Cody’s heartfelt nomination beautifully reflected her incredible spirit.
Heather’s story is one of resilience, positivity, and a heart full of love for those around her. Twelve years ago, she packed up her life, moved to Texas from West Virginia, and started over, knowing just one person. That courageous leap turned into a journey of purpose as Heather found her calling as a high school English teacher. Her passion lies in uplifting students, mentoring them, and bringing fun into learning. “I want to be the teacher I needed as a kid,” Heather shared. Her classroom is a space for growth, laughter, and encouragement.
Heather credits her positivity to her parents, who taught her that a smile is free and powerful. Her grandmother, a cornerstone of her faith, often reminded her: “This too shall pass.” Heather now carries those words as a tattoo and a daily reminder that brighter days are ahead. She also draws strength from the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Outside of work, Heather finds joy in simple moments—spending time outside, swimming in the pool, and traveling with her husband, Cody. She calls herself “solar-powered,” finding renewal in the sun, the sea, and road trips. Her compassion also extends to her furry family, as Heather has rescued and adopted three dogs.
Heather, you inspire us with your strength, love, and commitment to making a difference every day. Whether in your classroom, home, or community, you leave the world brighter with your kindness and light. We are so excited to celebrate you as our newest Viva Babe!
