THE GOLDEN RULE’ - DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU OR TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED. IT ISN'T HARD TO OFFER KINDNESS
Viva Babe Greta takes MTRA to heart, living life to lift others!

Greta is the District Librarian in the “not-so-small-anymore town of Anna, Texas, and this has allowed her to impact thousands of children's lives,” her nominator Ellen says. “She loves everyone's kids like they are her own and every year brings the community in to celebrate reading days with every elementary school; plans fire safety days with REAL local firefighters; and brings in the high school athletes for meet and greets with the elementary kids who honestly, react like their favorite NFL player just walked into the room.”

“Greta has a servant's heart and this does not stop at her job”, Ellen says. “If it's your birthday, you better believe Greta will show up at your house with a home-baked item. If you need a place to stay, Greta's house is open and available to you. Need a car to run an errand? Here are her keys, just shoot her a text once you're done with it. In fact, last year there was a teen who needed a place to stay after having a hard few months, and Greta and her husband opened up their home to her, bought her a car, and literally welcomed her into their family. The list goes on and on and I cannot even begin to articulate the ways that Greta has impacted the lives of those around her.”

Greta humbly shares, “I guess my motto would be ‘The Golden Rule’ - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you or treat others as you would like to be treated. It isn't hard to offer kindness.”
