GENETTE B

SHE HELPED ME LEARN TO WALK AND IS A POSITIVE FORCE TO KEEP ME DRIVING FORWARD.
Genette lives in Cape Coral, Florida, and was nominated by her husband, Daniel. Daniel says, “She has given up her education, job, and everything to be my full-time caregiver. I was seriously injured in Afghanistan after stepping on an IED back in 2012. She took on the role of full-time mom to our girls and caregiver for me. She helped me learn to walk and is a positive force to keep me driving forward.” ☄

Genette radiates compassion and love. “She makes time for everything and everyone else. She has helped many others make it through this process of recovery, and she’s still doing it today,” Daniel says.

Daniel, a purple heart veteran, also said military wives are often overlooked, so he was thankful for the opportunity to remind her of her steadfast dedication and support.

Today, we’re here to proclaim, Genette, you too are a hero. Thank you for your sacrifice, courage, and commitment to your family, community, and country.
