Danitza V.A.

For over 13 years, Danitza has poured her heart into building a community through free fitness classes in Austin. What began as a way to heal during a tough time has grown into a movement that uplifts others, celebrates diversity, and fosters belonging for people of all ages and backgrounds.
“My class is more than just a workout — it’s a community. The highlight of my day is seeing the energy in the room, people connecting in different languages, and friendships forming,” shares Danitza. Her mantra, “I want a community where everyone belongs,” shines through in everything she does.
Danitza has raised awareness about heart health, breast cancer prevention, and many other vital causes. She partners with organizations to make wellness accessible and meaningful, especially for immigrants and those seeking connection.
Her friend and nominator, Viva Babe Gloria, shares: “Danitza is probably the most inclusive person I have ever met. She helps people focus on their strengths instead of their limitations and builds community with complete strangers — it’s beautiful.”
When surprised with the Viva Babe Award, Danitza said she felt “so seen, appreciated, and acknowledged.” For someone who has selflessly given so much, this moment was a heartfelt reminder of the joy she has brought to countless others.
We are excited to honor Danitza as a Consuela Viva Babe — a light, a leader, and a true community builder.
